There was a post on the front page of reddit today about the Middle Earth Mod.
I am going to assume there was an influx of new users/server stress due to this.

It should work now. Our provider for an auxiliary server decided that there was too much traffic and simply blocked it. I've already redirected the server to two others, after the DNS replicates it should be working everywhere.
