Installing IL-14 ?

Sorry for this question, but I'm an Outerra rookie, please be patient ...

I downloaded the IL-14 otx file, double-clicked it and it went to my User\Outerra folder as a .pkg file

I launched the "game" (a simulator indeed) but the IL-14 does not appear in aircraft menu, just the default Cessnas, Mig, Helo
What am I missing or doing wrong?

I think you only downloaded the last incremental update. You need to download the Main package. The green Download "button" on upper right corner.
If you download the main package, you won't need the incremental update, as it's already included in it.

I take advantage of your kindness for another question:
In external view (external camera) the plane looks very large, because the camera is very close to the tail.
How can I get a camera more far from the aircraft without loosing aircraft control?

Just use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom out. ;)
If you don't have a scroll wheel, then I have no idea on how you could do that...
