ArcGIS Data?
« on: March 12, 2012, 03:25:21 am »

Any idea if this type of vector layering would be usable for Outerra? And would this be the type of data Outerra uses? Also, would the Elevation data Outerra uses be upgradable in the future with addition of new Terrain elevation files?

Terrain elevation needs to be remapped and compressed for use in Outerra, so it cannot be used directly, however there may be a tool for importing new terrain.

Vector data need to be converted as well, and OT needs some additional attributes, like the transitional width and border width for blending with surrounding terrain. Some of it can be assigned automatically by the type of data.
