"special shock absorbers"
is possible in outerra flex materials, like the shoes of a helicopter when it lands or the carriage of aircraft such as the Cessna 172? I have not noticed this in outerra if that does it.

There is no bending on c172 landing gear those legs are moving in joints that are placed at the end on each leg. It's possible to create a bending effect in current version but you will have to create skinned mesh with bones and compute bone positions/rotations yourself in script which is not easy (not tested...). In the future we will add a API functions to make this easy to setup.
